Social Safety Nets Registers and Distributes Relief Food Materials to Internally Displaced Persons in Abuja





 
Social Safety Net Foundation in line with its vision of  Providing Succour to vulnerable person distributed 50 bags of 25kg rice to Internally Displaced Persons from Gworza, Baga and Biu who are presently resident at Waru Village, Apo in Abuja Municipal Area Council on the 24th December, 2016. The beneficiaries who are women expressed their joy and appreciation to the Board of Trustees of the Foundation. The Secretary Ms Agho Anthonia expressed the resolve of the foundation to always support women to lift them out of poverty.


The beneficiaries were also registered to be trained on enterpreneurial skills such as Fashion Design, Catering, Poultry Farming, Baking and Aquaculture. They are to be trained for two weeks in the first quarter of 2017. The President of the foundation appeals for support from corporate organizations, government establishments and private individuals. The proposed trainees are to be provided with start up kits to commence their Small scale enterprises. Items to be distributed include sewing machines, Day old broiler chicks, Fabricated Baking ovens, Fish Juveniles and Tanks and Cooking pots.
